Your first visit
What to expect,step by step
A first visit to a gynaecologist can feel daunting, especially for a sensitive concern. Here is exactly what happens, so there are no surprises.

How the visit goes
A conversation first
Dr. Madhavi asks about your concern, your periods, past pregnancies, medicines, sleep, food and stress. Take your time; nothing is too small or too embarrassing to mention.
Examination, only with your consent
If an examination is needed, she explains what it involves and why before starting, and you can ask questions or say no. A family member can be in the room if you wish.
Nadi Parikshan, if helpful
For many concerns she also reads your pulse to understand your constitution. It is quick and painless.
Tests, only when needed
If blood tests or a sonography would help, she tells you which ones, why, and the best time in your cycle to do them.
A clear plan you understand
You leave knowing what is happening, what the modern and Ayurvedic parts of your plan are, and when to come back.
What to bring
- Any previous reports, scans and prescriptions
- A list of medicines and supplements you take
- The date your last period started
- Your questions, written down so you don’t forget
- Your partner, for fertility or pregnancy visits, if possible
Good to know
- Timings
- 10 am – 2 pm and 5 pm – 9 pm. Booking a time keeps your wait short.
- A woman doctor
- Dr. Madhavi Tayade sees every patient herself.
- For teenagers
- Mothers are welcome. Many girls find it easier to talk once they feel comfortable, so we take it gently.
- During your period
- You can still come in. For some examinations or tests, Dr. Madhavi may suggest a better day in your cycle.
- Language
- Marathi, Hindi or English, whichever you are most comfortable in.
- Follow-ups
- Most plans are reviewed over a few visits. You will always know when the next one is due.
First-visit questions

Do I need a referral?
No. You can book directly by phone, WhatsApp or the form on this website.
Will I definitely have an internal examination?
Not necessarily. Many concerns need only a conversation, and some need tests or a sonography instead. If an examination would help, it is explained first and done only with your consent.
How long does a first visit take?
Allow enough time for a proper conversation. First visits are usually longer than follow-ups, so you never feel rushed.
Can I come for an Ayurvedic consultation only?
Yes. Tell us when you book, and Dr. Madhavi will still review any reports or medicines so your plan is safe.
