How therapy works here

  1. 1

    Medical check first

Dr. Madhavi reviews your history, medicines and, where needed, blood tests, and reads your constitution through Nadi Parikshan.

  2. 2

    Preparation

Where needed, a few days of light diet, internal or external oleation (snehana) and gentle steam (swedana).

  3. 3

    The therapy

Carried out in our own Panchakarma suite, in a clean, private setting, under supervision.

  4. 4

    Aftercare

Rest, diet and daily-routine guidance, with a follow-up to see how you feel.

Our therapies

Panchakarma

Classical Ayurvedic cleansing and rejuvenation therapies, planned around your health after a medical assessment.

  • Begins with preparation: snehana (oiling, inside and outside) and swedana (gentle steam)
  • Main therapies chosen for you, such as Virechana, Basti or Nasya
  • Supportive therapies like Abhyanga and Shirodhara where they suit you
About Panchakarma

Shirodhara

A calming therapy where warm medicated oil flows over the forehead, traditionally used for stress and sleep.

  • A short head and shoulder massage with medicated oil to begin
  • A steady stream of warm oil, milk or buttermilk poured over the forehead from our brass Shirodhara stand
  • Oil or liquid chosen for you after consultation
About Shirodhara

Virechana

Therapeutic purgation, a classical Panchakarma therapy, planned only after assessment and given under supervision.

  • Preparation over a few days with snehana: medicated ghee taken in small, rising amounts
  • Abhyanga and swedana (oil massage and gentle steam) before the main day
  • On the main day, a herbal medicine chosen for you brings on a series of loose motions
About Virechana

Abhyanga & Swedana

Warm medicated oil massage followed by gentle herbal steam, traditionally used to relax and nourish the body.

  • Abhyanga: full-body massage with warm medicated oil chosen for your body type
  • Rhythmic strokes by a trained therapist, in a private room
  • Swedana: gentle herbal steam to follow, with the head kept outside and cool
About Abhyanga & Swedana

Basti

Ayurvedic medicated enema therapy, traditionally used to balance Vata, given in a clean clinical setting.

  • Preparation with Abhyanga (warm oil massage) and gentle swedana (steam)
  • Medicated oil (anuvasana) or herbal decoction (niruha) basti, chosen for you
  • Given gently, with privacy, in our Panchakarma suite
About Basti

Ayurvedic nasal therapy with medicated drops, traditionally used for headaches, sinus heaviness and stress.

  • Gentle face, head and neck massage with warm oil to begin
  • Mild steam to the face to prepare the nasal passages
  • Measured drops of medicated oil (such as Anu taila) placed in each nostril
About Nasya

About Uttar Basti

Safety first

  • Every therapy is decided only after an examination by a gynaecologist.
  • Some therapies are avoided in pregnancy, fever, active infection or marked weakness.
  • Ayurveda supports modern treatment. It never replaces it.
  • In an emergency, go to the nearest hospital or call 108.

Common questions

Is Panchakarma suitable for everyone?

No. Some therapies are avoided in pregnancy, during fever or active infection, or if you are very weak. That is why Dr. Madhavi examines you before any therapy is planned.

Can I have therapy during my period?

Some therapies are postponed during menstruation. Dr. Madhavi plans the right days around your cycle.

How many sessions will I need?

It depends on the therapy and on you. Most are a short course of sessions; the exact plan is set after your consultation.

Should I continue my current medicines?

Yes. Never stop a prescribed medicine on your own. Dr. Madhavi plans Ayurvedic therapy alongside any modern treatment you need.
